• Watch a couple auctions to get a feel for how they work before you jump right in
  
• Bid late night/early morning...while others are fast asleep, you can get the best deals
  
• Avoid mid-day bids! Even though people are at work, they have easy Internet access and can fire off a few bids...don't fall into the midday trap!
  
• Have fun and don't offer more bids than you can afford to lose! Just like playing in a casino, make it fun and don't spend more than you can afford. You can get great deals, but they're meaningless unless you're smart about it.
